As an OS Operations Fellow, you'll play a role in shaping Manifold into the cutting-edge research institute it aims to be. Your work will directly enable groundbreaking research by improving organizational effectiveness, expanding community engagement, orchestrating impactful events, enhancing dissemination of research outputs, and developing compelling external-facing materials. Without the vital contributions of the Operations Team, Manifold’s ambitious research vision simply cannot be realized.

Qualifications
For consideration as an OS Operations Fellow, you should have:
- Proven experience in operational roles, project coordination, community management, event organization, communications, or related areas.

- A clear alignment between your background, interests, and Manifold’s ambitious organizational and operational goals.
Responsibilities
The OS Operations Team is fundamentally responsible for:
- Empowering high-quality, strategically-targeted, ambitiously scaled research through comprehensive operational support.
- Maximizing the reach, visibility, and transformative impact of Manifold’s research outputs.
Operations Projects
The OS Operations Team focuses its efforts on five crucial and aspirational project areas:
- Improvement of Organizational Mechanics: Continuously refining internal processes and structures to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Community Growth and Engagement: Cultivating a vibrant, collaborative, and engaged research community.
- Events: Creating impactful, memorable events that accelerate research initiatives and community interaction.
- Outputs: Facilitating timely, impactful dissemination of research findings to maximize influence and recognition.
- External Facing Materials: Crafting compelling narratives and materials that clearly and effectively communicate Manifold’s pioneering research to diverse external audiences.
Expectations
A few key expectations regarding the OS Operations Team:
- Dedicate approximately 5 hours per week to drive meaningful impact and maintain consistent engagement with operational projects. Flexibility around life commitments is understood; clear, proactive communication helps us support each other.
- Our working language is English, and strong proficiency is necessary for effective and clear communication.
- This is a volunteer effort; none of us receive compensation of any kind—including monetary payment, academic credit, or other formal incentives. Our commitment is driven entirely by shared passion for enabling groundbreaking research.
